1우리가 포로로 잡혀온 지 이십오 년째가 되는 해, 예루살렘 도성이 함락된 지 십사 년째가 되는 해의 첫째 달, 그 달 십일 바로 그 날에, 주님의 권능이 나를 사로잡아, 나를 이스라엘 땅으로 데리고 가셨다.

1In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the fall of the city-on that very day the hand of the LORD was upon me and he took me there.

2하나님께서 보여 주신 환상 속에서 나를 이스라엘 땅으로 데려다가 아주 높은 산 위에 내려 놓으셨는데, 그 산의 남쪽에는 성읍 비슷한 건축물이 있었다.

2In visions of God he took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose south side were some buildings that looked like a city.

3그가 나를 그 곳으로 데리고 가셨는데, 그 곳에는 어떤 사람이 있었다. 그는 놋쇠와 같이 빛나는 모습이었고, 그의 손에는 삼으로 꼰 줄과 측량하는 막대기가 있었다. 그는 대문에 서 있었다.

3He took me there, and I saw a man whose appearance was like bronze; he was standing in the gateway with a linen cord and a measuring rod in his hand.

4그 때에 그 사람이 내게 말하였다. "사람아, 내가 네게 보여 주는 모든 것을 네 눈으로 잘 보고, 네 귀로 잘 듣고, 네 마음에 새겨 두어라. 이것을 네게 보여 주려고, 너를 이 곳으로 데려 왔다. 네가 보는 모든 것을 이스라엘 족속에게 알려 주어라."

4The man said to me, 'Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Tell the house of Israel everything you see.'

5성전 바깥에는 사방으로 담이 있었다. 그 사람의 손에는 측량하는 장대가 있었는데, 그 장대의 길이는, 팔꿈치에서 가운데 손가락 끝에 이르고, 한 손바닥 너비가 더 되는 자로 여섯 자였다. 그가 그 담을 측량하였는데, 두께가 한 장대요, 높이가 한 장대였다.

5I saw a wall completely surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring rod in the man's hand was six long cubits, each of which was a cubit and a handbreadth. He measured the wall; it was one measuring rod thick and one rod high.

6그가 동쪽으로 난 문으로 들어가, 계단으로 올라가서 문간을 재니, 길이가 한 장대였다.

6Then he went to the gate facing east. He climbed its steps and measured the threshold of the gate; it was one rod deep.

7그 다음에는 문지기의 방들이 있었는데, 각각 길이가 한 장대요, 너비가 한 장대였다. 방들 사이의 벽은 두께가 다섯 자이고, 성전으로 들어가는 현관 다음에 있는 안 문의 통로는 길이가 한 장대였다.

7The alcoves for the guards were one rod long and one rod wide, and the projecting walls between the alcoves were five cubits thick. And the threshold of the gate next to the portico facing the temple was one rod deep.

8또 그가 문 통로의 안쪽 현관을 재니,

8Then he measured the portico of the gateway;

9길이가 여덟 자요, 그 기둥들의 두께가 두 자였다. 그 문의 현관은 성전 쪽으로 나 있었다.

9it was eight cubits deep and its jambs were two cubits thick. The portico of the gateway faced the temple.

10동문에 있는 문지기 방들은 양쪽으로 각각 셋씩 있었다. 그 세 방의 크기는 모두 같았으며, 양쪽에 있는 벽기둥들의 크기도 같았다.

10Inside the east gate were three alcoves on each side; the three had the same measurements, and the faces of the projecting walls on each side had the same measurements.

11그가 문 어귀의 너비를 재니, 열 자였고, 그 문 어귀의 길이는 열석 자였다.

11Then he measured the width of the entrance to the gateway; it was ten cubits and its length was thirteen cubits.

12또 그 방들 앞에는 칸막이 벽이 양쪽으로 하나씩 있었는데, 높이가 한 자, 두께도 한 자였다. 방들은, 양쪽에 있는 것들이 다같이 길이와 너비가 저마다 여섯 자가 되는 정사각형이었다.

12In front of each alcove was a wall one cubit high, and the alcoves were six cubits square.

13또 그가 이쪽 문지기 방의 지붕에서 저쪽 문지기 방의 지붕까지 재니, 너비가 스물다섯 자였다. 방의 문들은 서로 마주 보고 있었다.

13Then he measured the gateway from the top of the rear wall of one alcove to the top of the opposite one; the distance was twenty-five cubits from one parapet opening to the opposite one.

14또 그가 현관을 재니, 너비가 스무 자이고, 바깥 뜰의 벽기둥이 있는 곳에서는 사방으로 문과 통하였다.

14He measured along the faces of the projecting walls all around the inside of the gateway-sixty cubits. The measurement was up to the portico facing the courtyard.

15바깥 문의 통로에서부터 안 문의 현관 전면까지는 쉰 자였다.

15The distance from the entrance of the gateway to the far end of its portico was fifty cubits.

16또 문지기 방에는 모두 사면으로 창이 나 있고, 방의 벽기둥에도 창이 나 있었다. 현관의 사면에도 창이 있었다. 창들은 모두 바깥에서 보면 좁고 안에서 보면 안쪽으로 들어오면서 점점 좌우로 넓게 넓어지는, 틀만 있는 창이었다. 양쪽의 벽기둥에는 각각 종려나무가 새겨져 있었다.

16The alcoves and the projecting walls inside the gateway were surmounted by narrow parapet openings all around, as was the portico; the openings all around faced inward. The faces of the projecting walls were decorated with palm trees.

17그런 다음에 그 사람이 나를 데리고 바깥 뜰로 들어갔는데, 그 바깥 뜰에는 사방으로 행랑방들이 있고, 길에는 돌을 깔아 놓았는데, 그 돌이 깔린 길을 따라, 서른 채의 행랑이 붙어 있었다.

17Then he brought me into the outer court. There I saw some rooms and a pavement that had been constructed all around the court; there were thirty rooms along the pavement.

18그 돌이 깔린 길은 대문들의 옆에까지 이르렀고, 그 길이는 문들의 길이와 같았다. 그것은 아래쪽의 길이었다.

18It abutted the sides of the gateways and was as wide as they were long; this was the lower pavement.

19또 그가 아랫문의 안쪽 정면에서부터 안뜰의 바깥 정면에 이르기까지의 너비를 재니, 백 자가 되었다. 이 길이는 동쪽과 북쪽이 같았다.

19Then he measured the distance from the inside of the lower gateway to the outside of the inner court; it was a hundred cubits on the east side as well as on the north.

20또 그 사람이 나를 바깥 뜰에 붙은 북쪽으로 난 문으로 데리고 가서, 그 문의 길이와 너비를 재었다.

20Then he measured the length and width of the gate facing north, leading into the outer court.

21문지기 방들이 이쪽에도 셋, 저쪽에도 셋이 있는데, 그 벽기둥이나 현관이 모두 앞에서 말한, 동쪽으로 난 문의 크기와 똑같이 이 대문의 전체 길이가 쉰 자요, 너비가 스물다섯 자였다.

21Its alcoves-three on each side-its projecting walls and its portico had the same measurements as those of the first gateway. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.

22그 현관의 창과 벽기둥의 종려나무도 동쪽으로 난 문에 있는 것들과 크기가 같았다. 일곱 계단을 올라가서, 문간 안으로 들어가도록 되어 있으며, 현관은 안쪽에 있었다.

22Its openings, its portico and its palm tree decorations had the same measurements as those of the gate facing east. Seven steps led up to it, with its portico opposite them.

23이 문도 동쪽으로 난 문과 마찬가지로 안뜰에 붙은 중문을 마주 보고 있었다. 그가 중문에서 북쪽으로 난 문까지의 거리를 재니, 백 자였다.

23There was a gate to the inner court facing the north gate, just as there was on the east. He measured from one gate to the opposite one; it was a hundred cubits.

24또 그 사람이 나를 데리고 남쪽으로 갔는데, 거기에도 남쪽으로 난 문이 있었다. 그가 그 문의 벽기둥과 현관을 재니, 크기가 위에서 본 다른 두 문과 같았다.

24Then he led me to the south side and I saw a gate facing south. He measured its jambs and its portico, and they had the same measurements as the others.

25이 문과 현관에도 양쪽으로 창이 있었는데, 위에서 본 다른 두 문에 있는 창과 같았다. 그 문간은, 길이는 쉰 자요, 너비는 스물다섯 자였다.

25The gateway and its portico had narrow openings all around, like the openings of the others. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.

26일곱 계단을 올라서 문으로 들어가도록 되어 있고, 현관은 안쪽에 있었다. 양쪽의 벽기둥 위에는 종려나무가 한 그루씩 새겨져 있었다.

26Seven steps led up to it, with its portico opposite them; it had palm tree decorations on the faces of the projecting walls on each side.

27안뜰의 남쪽에도 중문이 하나 있었다. 그가 두 문 사이의 거리를 재니, 백 자였다.

27The inner court also had a gate facing south, and he measured from this gate to the outer gate on the south side; it was a hundred cubits.

28또 그 사람이 나를 데리고 남쪽 문을 지나 안뜰로 들어갔다. 그가 남쪽 문을 재니, 크기가 다른 문들과 같았다.

28Then he brought me into the inner court through the south gate, and he measured the south gate; it had the same measurements as the others.

29그 문지기 방과 기둥과 현관이 모두 다른 문의 것과 크기가 같았다. 그 문과 현관에도 양쪽으로 창문이 있었다. 그 문간도 길이는 쉰 자요, 너비는 스물다섯 자였다.

29Its alcoves, its projecting walls and its portico had the same measurements as the others. The gateway and its portico had openings all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.

30사방으로 현관이 있었는데, 길이는 스물다섯 자요, 너비는 다섯 자였다.

30(The porticoes of the gateways around the inner court were twenty-five cubits wide and five cubits deep.)

31그 대문의 현관은 바깥 뜰로 나 있고, 그 벽기둥 위에는 종려나무가 새겨져 있고, 그 중문으로 들어가는 어귀에는 여덟 계단이 있었다.

31Its portico faced the outer court; palm trees decorated its jambs, and eight steps led up to it.

32그 사람이 나를 데리고 동쪽으로 난 안뜰로 들어가서, 거기에 있는 중문을 재니, 그 크기가 다른 문과 같았다.

32Then he brought me to the inner court on the east side, and he measured the gateway; it had the same measurements as the others.

33문지기 방과 기둥과 현관이 모두 다른 문의 것들과 크기가 같았다. 그 중문과 현관에도 양쪽으로 창문이 있었다. 그 문의 문간은 길이가 쉰 자요, 너비가 스물다섯 자였다.

33Its alcoves, its projecting walls and its portico had the same measurements as the others. The gateway and its portico had openings all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.

34그 중문의 현관은 바깥 뜰로 나 있으며, 문 양편의 벽기둥들 위에는 종려나무가 새겨져 있었다. 그 중문으로 들어가는 어귀에는 여덟 계단이 있었다.

34Its portico faced the outer court; palm trees decorated the jambs on either side, and eight steps led up to it.

35또 그 사람이 나를 데리고 북쪽으로 들어가서 재니, 그 크기가 다른 문과 같았다.

35Then he brought me to the north gate and measured it. It had the same measurements as the others,

36문지기 방과 벽기둥과 현관들이 모두 다른 문의 것과 크기가 같았다. 그 중문에도 사방으로 창문이 있었다. 이 문간의 길이는 쉰 자요, 너비도 스물다섯 자였다.

36as did its alcoves, its projecting walls and its portico, and it had openings all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.

37그 중문의 현관도 바깥 뜰을 향하고 있으며, 중문 양쪽의 벽기둥들 위에는 종려나무가 새겨져 있었다. 그 중문으로 들어가는 어귀에는 여덟 계단이 있었다.

37Its portico faced the outer court; palm trees decorated the jambs on either side, and eight steps led up to it.

38안뜰 북쪽 중문 곁에는 문이 달린 방이 하나 있었는데, 그 방은 번제물을 씻는 곳이었다.

38A room with a doorway was by the portico in each of the inner gateways, where the burnt offerings were washed.

39그리고 그 중문의 현관 어귀에는 양쪽에 각각 상이 두 개씩 있었는데, 그 위에서는 번제와 속죄제와 속건제에 쓸 짐승을 잡았다.

39In the portico of the gateway were two tables on each side, on which the burnt offerings, sin offerings and guilt offerings were slaughtered.

40이 북쪽 문의 어귀, 현관의 바깥 쪽으로 올라가는 양쪽에도 상이 각각 두 개씩 있었다.

40By the outside wall of the portico of the gateway, near the steps at the entrance to the north gateway were two tables, and on the other side of the steps were two tables.

41이렇게 북쪽 중문의 안쪽에 상이 네 개, 바깥 쪽에 네 개가 있어서, 제물로 바치는 짐승을 잡는 상이 모두 여덟 개였다.

41So there were four tables on one side of the gateway and four on the other-eight tables in all-on which the sacrifices were slaughtered.

42또 돌을 깎아서 만든 것으로서 번제물을 바칠 때에 쓰는 상이 넷이 있는데, 각 상의 길이는 한 자 반이요, 너비도 한 자 반이며, 높이는 한 자였다. 그 위에 번제와 희생제물을 잡는 기구가 놓여 있었다.

42There were also four tables of dressed stone for the burnt offerings, each a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide and a cubit high. On them were placed the utensils for slaughtering the burnt offerings and the other sacrifices.

43그 방 안의 사면에는 손바닥만한 갈고리가 부착되어 있으며, 상 위에는 제물로 바치는 고기가 놓여 있었다.

43And double-pronged hooks, each a handbreadth long, were attached to the wall all around. The tables were for the flesh of the offerings.

44또 안뜰의 바깥쪽에는 방 두 개가 있는데, 하나는 북쪽 중문의 한쪽 모퉁이 벽 곁에 있어서 남쪽을 향해 있고, 다른 하나는 남쪽 중문의 한쪽 모퉁이 벽 곁에 있어서 북쪽을 향하여 있었다.

44Outside the inner gate, within the inner court, were two rooms, one at the side of the north gate and facing south, and another at the side of the south gate and facing north.

45그 사람이 나에게 일러주었다. "남쪽을 향한 이 방은 성전 일을 맡은 제사장들의 방이요,

45He said to me, 'The room facing south is for the priests who have charge of the temple,

46북쪽을 향한 저 방은 제단 일을 맡은 제사장들의 방이다. 그들은 레위 자손 가운데서도, 주께 가까이 나아가 섬기는 사독의 자손이다."

46and the room facing north is for the priests who have charge of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, who are the only Levites who may draw near to the LORD to minister before him.'

47그가 또 안뜰을 재니, 길이가 백 자요 너비도 백 자인 정사각형이었다. 제단은 성전 본당 앞에 놓여 있었다.

47Then he measured the court: It was square-a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide. And the altar was in front of the temple.

48그 사람이 나를 데리고 성전 현관으로 들어가서, 현관 벽기둥들을 재니, 양쪽에 있는 것이 각각 두께가 다섯 자였다. 문 어귀의 너비는 열넉 자이고 문의 양 옆 벽의 두께는 석 자였다.

48He brought me to the portico of the temple and measured the jambs of the portico; they were five cubits wide on either side. The width of the entrance was fourteen cubits and its projecting walls were three cubits wide on either side.

49그 현관의 너비는 스무 자였고, 길이는 열한 자였다. 현관으로 들어가는 어귀에는 계단이 있었다. 그리고 문간 양쪽으로 있는 벽기둥 외에 기둥이 양쪽에 하나씩 있었다.

49The portico was twenty cubits wide, and twelve cubits from front to back. It was reached by a flight of stairs, and there were pillars on each side of the jambs.
